The experience of loss touches us all eventually. If grief is making you feel upside down and overwhelmed right now, seeking loss and grief support through counseling can help. I am Genevieve Saenz LMFT, and I have over ten years of experience as a grief counselor, with a deep respect for the unique and wild ride that acute grief takes us on. While we can’t fill the void, it is possible to learn how to walk alongside it in new ways.
I believe that "one grief pulls on another," and for this reason, any type of loss can sometimes trigger a cascade of grief in our lives. This grief washes through us, transforming us in the process. It is helpful when grieving to be open to the ways loss can change us—body, mind, and soul—but it is even more beneficial to realize that you don’t have to navigate those waves completely alone.
My training in person-centered therapy, attachment theory, the creative arts, non-dualistic philosophy, Jungian psychology, and mindfulness makes me uniquely equipped to support those who are navigating an upside-down world after the loss of someone they love.
