Welcome! 

I'm Jon Shuffler, LCSW, and I work with individuals navigating significant life transitions—moments marked by both the apparent and the veiled. Whether you're dealing with a death loss or charting the shifting terrain of a non-death loss like divorce, illness, or a change in identity or role, I provide a space for healing and integration through grief counseling. 

My therapeutic work is grounded in a relational, existential, and creative approach that honors the universality of the human condition while appreciating the unique lived experiences of each client. In our therapeutic relationship, I walk alongside clients through the layered topographies of their grief, utilizing shared resources such as imaginal work, dreams, poetry, myth, music, visual arts, and somatic awareness. Often, individuals discover creative parts of themselves they were previously unaware of; this process has a remarkable way of uncovering what has been waiting for the opportunity to emerge.
