Grief Counseling with Kelsey Williams, LCSW

About Kelsey Williams, LCSW

Howdy! I’m Kelsey, a queer, nonbinary, neurodiverse therapist who specializes in grief & loss, in addition to working with creative LGBTQIA2+ adolescents and adults who may have been called “old souls,” or self-identify as recovering people pleasers.

I have extensive experience working with grief & loss (death loss and non-death losses alike) both in individual psychotherapy and support groups. I come to this work after losing my mom in 2017 at age 24. If you are looking for a therapist who practices applying a neurodiverse-friendly lens first, who is trauma-informed, and is not afraid to meet you in the weird and existential, I might be a good fit. Bonus if you identify as a huge nerd. My work is relational, psychodynamic, and includes a blend of the cognitive and the somatic. I am a writer and artist and believe also in the beauty of storytelling and creative expression and am happy to incorporate that into the work we do.

In more technical terms, I have experience with trauma-informed, attachment-theory informed, neuro and queer affirming CBT, SFBT, SBT ACT, IFS, ERP, existential, narrative, and art therapy. I see clients virtually in Texas, and in-person in Austin at Plumeria Counseling Center.

Please reach out to me via email klwilliamspsychotherapy@gmail.com to inquire about a 15-minute consultation. I am paneled with multiple insurances, including Medicare.
