Molly Young, M.A., LMFT

Hi! I’m Molly, proud Austin native, co-owner of Safe Haven Counseling, and a grief and trauma therapist. I bring a diverse grief background to my work that includes working with children and families in foster care, work with crime victims, and consulting on child and adolescent development in the wake of traumatic experiences. I currently work with clients ages 4 and up.

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences that anyone can go through and grieving is a natural and necessary process that helps individuals process their emotions and live life in the wake of their loss. However, despite its universality, grief is often misunderstood and stigmatized. Having personally experienced the loss of many loved ones, I understand the isolation and challenges grief can bring.

I’m here to offer compassionate, understanding support. My approach to therapy is holistic, meaning I work to understand you and your relationships, your life experiences, and your various environments and how these all work for or against you. We will work together to find you solid support and resources to bolster you as you grieve.
